It’s about time the issue of media bias is getting some legs.
This weekend Joe Biden said to “gird your loins” because Obama would be tested by an international crisis just like John Kennedy was.
He said, “We’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”
What in the world does that mean and how bad would it be? Is Russia going to park nukes off our coast? Are terrorists going to ratchet up attacks on US soil? I don’t have the answer, but Biden mentioned several scenarios.
I’ve already written that’s crazy stuff, but the media pretty much buried it. Some, like NBC, are refusing to play it.
Dan Rather said if Sarah Palin had said that, the media would be all over her. Certainly it would be front page news.
During the VP debate Biden incorrectly said the US forced Hezbollah out of Lebanon and Roosevelt went on TV to settle the country during the Depression. Yet, unless you were in the Middle East, you probably didn’t hear much about either gaffe.
I’ve also written about the true and real problems with raising taxes during times of a possible recession. Now Biden is admitting the problems with it are real. He said, “I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, ‘Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? . . . Why is this thing so tough? . . . I’m asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point, because you’re going to have to reinforce us.
“There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision.’ ”
Biden has now warned us that if he and Obama are elected we’re going to be attacked internationally and our economy is going to sink lower than it is today, yet people still want to vote for them. It amazes me.
Had any of that come from Gov. Palin, she would have been dumped in the coals and left for ashes.
