Carl Edwards did all he could to topple Clint Bowyer from the top of the NASCAR Nationwide Series championship standings by winning last night’s season finale Ford 300 at Homestead – Miami Speedway, but it wasn’t enough.
Bowyer took a 56 point lead into the final race. His fifth place race finish was enough to give him a 21 point margine of victory for the championship.
Brad Keselowski finished third in the race and third overall in the standings.
The best thing about last night’s race is Kyle Busch being denied a record eleventh win of the year in the Nationwide Series. I don’t particularly care for that guy.
Joey Logano finished tenth and secured the owner’s championship for Joe Gibbs Racing.
