I love this Hurricane Tape so much I thought I’d tell you what I thought about it when compared to Duct Tape and your garden variety Packing Tape. Frankly, there’s no comparison.
My wife ships packages overseas every week and we’ve started using Hurricane Tape instead of the packing tape. It costs just a little more than the plain old packing tape, but it doesn’t tear of chaff. We’ve even gotten positive comments from people in Europe about the tape because it wasn’t torn or coming off after the long journey.
When compared to Duct Tape it’s no contest. The adhesive on Duct Tape is nasty and gummy so it doesn’t really hold very well and it leaves the adhesive behind when you peel it off. Plus it tears with just a tug.
The Hurricane Tape doesn’t tear at all and the adhesive comes right off with the tape. It’ surprising how well it sticks because it doesn’t have that gummy, tacky texture we’re all used to from the Duct Tape. Plus one roll is equivalent to something like 10 rolls of the grey stuff.
There’s some videos of it being compared to Duct Tape on YouTube, I just don’t feel like looking for them right now.
If you can find some Hurricane Tape, get it. It’s just about all we use now.
