What’s been known for weeks is now official, Brad Keselowski will drive for Penske next year in the 12 Cup car and will run a full Nationwide schedule.
Since no channel is broadcasting the coverage I’m getting the info via Twitter and Dustin Long and Marty Smith.
Some Tweets from those guys:
Smith: Tim Cindric, Penske Racing — “We’re not going to comment on contracts, how long they are. Brad has given us every indication he’s commited.
Long: Penske official won’t comment on contract length.
That’s because he’ll be back at Hendrick as soon as Justin Allgaier is ready for Cup.
Smith: Brad K open about getting the blessings of Dale Jr., Kelley and Rick Hendrick. He said Dale actually encouraged him to do it.
Long: Brad Keselowski on his move: “This was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make.” Had blessings of Dale Jr, Kelley & Hendrick
Smith: Brad K — “Hendrick worked much harder on my deal than he ever had to work on Jimmie or Jeff’s, to try to keep me in the (Hendrick) camp.”
Smith: Cindric: “We have a multiyear agreement with Brad. He’s going to be part of our future.”
Long: Penske official says they have a multi-year deal with Brad Keselowski. Just confirmed it.
We’ll see about that one. Contracts can be bought out. I hope to see BK back at Hendrick soon.
